Softball Tournament
On May 15 the upper grades host a softball tournament at Lindenwood Park. The lower grades traditionally walk to Lindenwood Park, eat their lunch, play at the park and then watch one of the softball games before returning to the school by 2:30-2:45. This year, we would like to make it a Picnic Day by bringing our own cold lunches from home. Please pack a drink also in the lunch. The school provides concessions at this event. The students are allowed to bring money to purchase a treat! PLEASE LIMIT MONEY TO ONLY $2.00!!! I promise that will be plenty of money for a treat! I will put each child’s money in a Ziploc baggie at my desk until we are ready to go to the park. Each baggie will be labeled.
Spelling Words: We will be reviewing old spelling words for the last two weeks of school! Extra practice on Long and Short vowels is always needed. Also, word wall words that we use all the time in reading and writing.
